Areas Covered and availability

We are based in Weymouth, Dorset and offer our car for hire within approx 30 miles of her base. This means we cover most areas of Dorset including Blanford, Bridport, Dorchester, Poole, Portland, Swanage, Wareham and some areas of Bournemouth.  unfortunately due to the low driving speed and high running costs of the car we are unable to travel any further a field. Please feel free to contact me regarding your location.

Our car is available from the 1st April until 31st of October. We are unable to do weddings through the winter months as it can be extremely cold in the car. We want you to remember your wedding day transport for the right reasons not the wrong ones.

 

Planning your day

Many couples plan their big day many months or years in advance. They also want every last detail exactly as they want it. At Class Act Cars we aim to make your wedding transport exactly as you want it to be. Below we have two basic options which cover most weddings very well however if there is anything else you would like from your wedding transport please let us know and we can discuss it to get everything arranged just as you want it. We strongly recommend that all couples come and view the car in the flesh and at that time we can make sure that all the details are exactly as you require them.

In order for us to price correctly we shall write up a full itinerary for all your requirements and price accordingly, the options below cover most circumstances.

We can also supply a bottle of Moet & Chandon Champagne.

These prices include the car decorated in ribbons and bows in a colour of your choose.

 

 

 

 

Pricing Information

A to B Wedding

This option is a single journey wedding for a couple having their ceremony and reception at one venue. Normally this would consist of the bride and father (or whoever is giving the bride away) travelling from the family home to the ceremony. On average the car will be with you for about one and a half hours, or as long as it takes to travel from the family home to the ceremony location.

Civil ceremonies usually last about twenty minutes, so the pricing for this option covers up to two hours only. This is so that your Chauffeur will have time remaining after the ceremony for the Bride and Groom to have photographs taken with the car, before the Chauffeur has to return back to base.

Please advise us prior to booking if you require extended timings so we can quote accordingly.

Full Wedding

This option is a two journey wedding for a couple having their ceremony and reception at two different locations.

On average the car will be with you for about three hours. In this time the car will transport the father of the bride and the bride from the family home to the wedding ceremony. Photographs after the ceremony can be taken and then the bride and groom will have their first journey a husband and wife to the reception.

To make this extra special a short stop off at an additional location can be included on direct route to the reception. This makes for a fantastic photography opportunity. Please be advised that this is only possible if we are informed at the time of reservation.

Once the bride and groom have arrived at their reception the Chauffeur will return the car to base.

Unless advised this option’s pricing covers up to four hours only. If anything additional is required please discuss this with us prior to booking so we can quote accordingly.


Both options have 50 miles of travel included in the standard price. This mileage starts when the car leaves its base. We then calculate all the mileage required for the wedding and then the return journey back to base. As long as the total mileage is less then 50 miles then the standard price is all we will quote you.

However if the calculated mileage is greater than 50 miles all extra miles will be charged at £1 per mile or part mile from then on.
So for example if the total wedding mileage is 80 miles you shall get the first 50 miles included in the standard price then the extra 30 miles will be added on. So in this case an extra £30 will be added on the quote.

If when calculating the quote we discover that the car will be required for longer than the times allowed then the car will also be priced at £40 per hour or part hour for every extra hour the car is required.

On booking the car a £50 deposit is required within ten days of the booking date. The remaining balance is required 10 working days before the wedding.

Terms & Conditions

We take great pride in the condition of our car. It will be fully valeted inside and out before leaving base. It shall be decorated with ribbons and bows and the chauffeur will be dressed immaculately. We do white or ivory decorations as standard but any colours are possible at no extra cost so please let us know if you are interested in something different.

Even if it rains during the course of the day we shall try our best to keep it as clean as possible.

We aim to be with you 15 minutes before departure time. On arrival we shall inform you that we are ready to depart. The length of hire time starts from when we get to you.

We look after the car to the very best of our ability. However cars can break down at very inappropriate times. If the car was to be unusable on the day of your wedding we shall inform you as soon as possible and refund you in full.
If the car were to break down on the wedding day then a well planned back up plan would be a good idea.

We strongly recommend that on the day of the wedding you organize a back up vehicle to follow the car on all journeys (ideally a friend or neighbour). This is just in case of any unlikely events that may occur along the way such as an accident or break down.
The last thing that anyone wants is for the bride to be late for the ceremony.

It is at your discretion as to whether or not you want to travel with the roof folded down. We will however stress that it can get very windy in the car with the roof down.
We would recommend that when travelling to the ceremony you do so with the roof up (especially to protect the brides hair and/or veil) and then lower the roof for any photograph’s or subsequent journeys; dependent upon which option you have booked.
If it rains the roof will be up and the side windows fitted to eliminate as much rain as possible and make your journey as comfortable as possible.

We can not take any responsibility for any damage caused to outfits when entering, travelling and exiting the car.

The car is only insured to carry five people (including the chauffeur) so we can only accommodate four passengers in total.

We are able to carry children but we need this to be arranged well in advance. New laws came in to power during 2006. Since then all children less than 12 years of age have to use the correct child seat or booster cushion.

When in the car we are responsible for all our passengers.

The laws state:

Cars legally exempt from having seat belts fitted (mostly old cars), can have children over 3 years of age travelling in the back seat without their child restraint.

Children under 3 years can not travel in any vehicle without the correct child restraint. These can not be fitted to cars with no seat belts so we are unable to carry any children of this age.

At Class Act Cars passenger safety is priority. We have to know in advance about any under 12's travelling in the car in advance. We will not carry any unknown under 12’s on the day.

They can of course have photos taken in the car when it is parked.

There is a strict no smoking or eating policy when in the car.
